DROPS Cotton Merino is spun from extra fine merino wool and long staple cotton fiber. DROPS Design has chosen not to card the merino wool and cotton together, which means that the properties of both yarns are more emphasized and the colors and texture appear more vibrant. DROPS Cotton Merino is superwash treated and very soft on the skin, which makes this yarn very suitable for baby and children's clothing.

The yarn is spun from many thin threads, which gives it fullness and elasticity, and it is particularly suitable for cable patterns, structural patterns and seed patterns.

Due to the special structure of the yarn, it is particularly important to treat the items made from it correctly: Make sure you work with the correct gauge and choose a slightly tighter gauge rather than a looser one. Do not wash the item too warm and it should never be completely saturated with water. Let the item dry lying flat.

As with all Drops merino yarns, the merino wool here comes from mulesing-free, free-range animals in South America.

This yarn has an Oeko-Tex® certification (certification number 09.HBG.68250), Standard 100, Class I, from the Hohenstein Institute. This means that the yarn has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for humans and the environment. Class I is the highest level and this means that the yarn is suitable for baby items (age 0-3 years).
